Your First Visit

Your first appointment will be approximately 90 minutes to allow plenty of time for consultation and assessment before the start of any treatment.

This will include discussing your medical history including any health problems past and present, accidents, surgical or medical treatments, and questions about your general health and lifestyle. I would also like to know your reason for seeking treatment and your expectations.

It would help if you could bring a list of any medications and supplements you are currently taking to your first appointment and answer all questions truthfully. Please feel free to stop the conversation at any time to ask questions.

The next step is assessment. This could include looking at your range of movement and performing any biomechanical assessments I feel are indicated. This will usually involve removing some of your clothing so clear observations can be made. You may feel more comfortable if you are wearing a vest and shorts or leggings.

At the end of your treatment I will go through any aftercare advice with you and answer any questions you may have. I may also make recommendations for self-care techniques, exercise or lifestyle changes that I think might be helpful to your recovery.

All details of your initial consultation, and any subsequent treatments, will remain strictly confidential. I take the security of your personal information very seriously. If you would like to know more please check out my privacy policy.

If you are unable to make your appointment, please be advised that I require 24 hours notice. Missed appointments, and late cancellations will be charged at the full rate.

"Just to say thank you... range of movement seems improved and less painful already!"
